As part of exchange visit between Pakistani and United States professionals a US delegation visited PIPS main campus in Islamabad on July 25, 2016 at 10:00 am. Mr. Amer Aijaz Executive Director of Center for Peace and Development Initiative, which hosted the delegation in Pakistan, also accompanied the delegation which was led by Ms. Ammanda Bischoping from World Learning Institute. Upon arrival the delegation held an informal meeting with Executive Director PIPS, Mr. Zafarullah Khan. It was followed by an interactive session with representatives of PIPS various wings. The session began with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran, followed by a brief presentation of PIPS services and accomplishments by Director Research & IT, Mr. Muhammad Rashid Mafzool Zaka in which he introduced the Institute and highlighted the generous support provided by USAID in laying down its foundation as well as the resources provided for the campus facilities. An interactive Q&A session followed the presentation in which participants from both sides raised a host of questions about each others in terms of education system, entrepreneurship, legislative business etc. Executive Director PIPS presented mementos to all the delegates, a set of PIPS publications was presented to the lead delegate. The delegation was also offered a group photo and campus tour prior to departure. Lead delegate presented vote of thanks and hoped to continue such ventures in future. The delegation acknowledged PIPS as a leading parliamentary institution matching some of the best in the world like CRS and LSC, Ohio.
